Thomas Brady

Chairman and Principal

Thomas Brady started the company over 45 years ago in San Mateo, California. As Chairman of the company, Tom brings his decades of experience and successful relationships to uphold the firm's vision and strategic growth. In 2007 he applied this vision and opened our Boston office, expanding the company from a regional California business into a national practice. Tom is also responsible for leading the company's marketing initiatives and for maintaining high level client engagement and communications.

Tom started his career at New England Life in 1968, and after eight years moved on to start Thomas Brady & Associates, building the firm from the ground up based on the guiding principle of personalized service for each and every customer. His goal was to help families with their planning and insurance needs by delivering the same level of commitment that he provided to his own family. Today, while the firm has grown to service both individual and corporate clients, that same mission of trust and commitment remains.

Tom has devoted much of his life to serving on numerous boards, from schools to non-profit groups to those in the public sector as well. A frequently sought-out speaker, he has given hundreds of lectures across the US on various topics.

Tom graduated from the University of San Francisco with a B.S. in Sociology. He has been married for 45 years and is the proud father of four children and nine grandchildren.


Matthew M. McKenzie

President and Principal

As the President and Principal of Thomas Brady & Associates, Matt sets the vision of the firm and leads the overall management and strategy of the national insurance practice. Since being appointed President, his direction has contributed to the continued growth and expansion of the firm.

With nearly two decades of diverse industry experience, Matt specializes in the areas of business planning, estate planning and insurance placement. He works closely with the company's clients and strategic partners to develop custom opportunities and oversees the delivery of tailored solutions for the ever-changing needs of the firm’s full range of clients, which include business owners, individuals and families.

Matt began his career in the insurance industry with New England Financial, where he worked in various roles including New Business, Underwriting, Life Product Development and Advanced Marketing. After spending a number of years inside the insurance company, Matt moved into a distribution role as Regional Vice President with MetLife Investors, where he was responsible for estate and business planning concepts for both high net worth individuals as well as business clients.

A frequent industry speaker, Matt has been nationally recognized for his distinguished accomplishments as a sales leader. He holds Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) and Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) titles, as well as other licensing and insurance industry designations.

Active in many charities, Matt is currently a board member of The Claddagh Fund, Youk’s Kids, The Concussion Legacy Foundation, and The Flutie Foundation
